Extra capacity. Objective eyes. Real horsepower.
When your office is stretched thin or a project needs more attention than your team can spare, we step in as a trusted extension of your operation.

General contracting is, fundamentally, a logistics business. The contractors who do it well aren't necessarily the ones with the most crews or the biggest backlog — they're the ones who can keep schedules, scopes, subs, and clients aligned across multiple simultaneous projects without anything slipping through the cracks. The trouble is that there are only so many hours in a day and only so many capable project managers and supers in any given market. When your office is stretched and the next project is already on the calendar, something has to give.
That's where Claus Consulting fits in. We work alongside GCs as a flexible extension of your team — engaged for a phase, a project, or a defined scope of work, never as a competitor. We don't bid on general contracting work, we don't poach your subs, and we don't try to insert ourselves into your client relationships. Our job is to take a specific load off your office so your people can focus on what they do best.
That might mean stepping in as project manager on a job that needs daily attention while your senior PMs handle the larger book. It might mean providing a qualified site superintendent during framing or finishes — someone who has been on real sites for years, not a junior who still needs supervision. It often means independent quality control: scheduled site visits, photo logs, punch lists, and written reports that give your office and your client confidence that what is supposed to be in the wall actually got into the wall.
On the front end of a project, we provide sub procurement and bid analysis. We can develop a vetted bidder list, manage the RFP process, normalize bids onto a single comparison sheet, and flag the line items where contractors are quietly assuming different scopes. The result is an estimating package your team can defend in front of an owner without having to redo the math at the kitchen table on a Saturday.
Engagements are scoped to fit. Some contractors retain us on a recurring basis for QC across their portfolio. Others bring us in for a single difficult job, or for a specific phase where the risk is concentrated. In every case, we work to your standards, sign confidentiality where appropriate, and stay out of your client communications unless you specifically want us in the room. The goal is simple: when we're done, your project is in better shape, your client is happier, and your team is freed up to keep building.
